Elective doctors do not have a contract with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK). However, the ÖGK generally reimburses 80 percent of the costs that would have been incurred if you had used a contractual partner. Once you have submitted your claim for reimbursement to your health insurance provider, you can submit the fee notes to your private accident or health insurance provider to cover the costs.
