Our sports scientist Peter Leo coached the Tyrolian KTM cycling Team during their training camp in Tuscany. During the time from the 1st to the 10th February the U23 team stayed around Grosseto to complete the final preparation for the upcoming racing season.
The program included field tests to determine the current performances, tactical maneuvers for the team and team building activities. The current fitness level of the team members influences the mood for the upcoming season in a very positive way.
Bad luck came to Georg Steinhauser, who suffered a broken collarbone. But thanks to the smooth rescue chain, Georg was operated at our partner site the medalp in Imst right on the following day and it seems most likely that he will come back to train in about 3 weeks.
Peter Leo’s expectations towards the upcoming racing season are very positive: “The camp was very important for the team. It helped that the boys to grown closer together and moreover they got perfectly coordinated.”
